Few electrical devices are safe from the so-called electromagnetic interference. To mitigate the hazard posed by it, EMI filters should be a staple of your inventory, no matter the industrial field you work in. AEPS group-manufactured filters will fulfil this role reliably and efficiently.
If unfiltered, electromagnetic interference can reduce the performance of your equipment, or even damage it. Prevent this by ordering one of our filters to secure a faultless operation of your equipment!
Most electronic devices these days contain their own internal filters. However, there are situations which require introducing an additional filter in order to comply with the safety regulations. While the basic equipment may pass the lawful standards under optimal conditions, these conditions are rarely repeated in real life uses. That’s when the EMI protector – filter needs to be used.
Some of the real-life situations which require a filter are, for example, electronic device congestion. If there are many electronic devices in the vicinity of each other, the probability of interference increases, especially with their increased performance.
Likewise, the circuits with lower power levels are more susceptible to disturbance and therefore require filters to function properly. In addition to that, there are countless other ways in which an EMI noise can influence your equipment, be it via cable, magnetic induction or external radiation (in which case, proper shielding is needed as well).
Sometimes your own equipment can generate EMI and influence other devices in its vicinity. A good filter protects not only a single piece of equipment, but all the other that are nearby as well! Get one such here!
You will find a selection of both AC and DC filers on our offer. The first subgroup, representing the AC filters, would be the JETAF series products. If you’re operating AC networks with either digital or analog devices, it should be your chief priority to prevent EMI damage to it. Our filters (AC as well as DC) are well-equiped for noise reduction in power supply units and modules, owing their high reliability to the above mentioned nanocrystal line cores. Efficient filtering and better thermal management are the results of this unique solution. The AC EMI filters (JETAF series) have a:
Most of these filters are intended for use in 1-phase AC networks. The JETAF15-400 is, however, designed for uses in 3-phase AC networks.
As for the DC networks, they are best managed with the help of our JETDF filters, whose specifications are as follows:

Let’s elaborate a bit more on the topic of these devices. The answer to the question what does an EMI filter do is simple – it serves to limit the so-called electromagnetic noise, thus enabling other equipment in the network to function properly and in accordance with the rules. Whenever there is an increased likelihood of EMI occurring, the filters become a necessity.
There are multiple sources of EMI, which can be classified in a variety of ways, however, for simple purposes, let’s classify them into natural and artificial.
Natural noises are, as the name suggests, occurring as part of natural phenomena, and can include:
Artificial noises usually result from man-made devices and come in the form of:
And much more…
The EMI noise usually takes the form of high-frequency signal. The filter itself is made from capacitors and inductors that only allow for the passage of certain frequencies while blocking the unwanted ones. More specifically, the inductor enables the passage of low-frequency currents, whereas the capacitors reroute the high-frequency noisy signal into the ground or back into the supply.
The efficiency of the filter is expressed by what is called the insertion loss. Insertion loss is the ratio of the input/output signal and is measured in decibels. Again, we would point you to the datasheet of each of our respective products to acquaint yourselves with its insertion loss and other specifics.
Don’t let noise interfere with your devices, slow down their performance or even damage them! Our filters will ensure that no such thing befalls them.
